A: Microblading is a form of light tattooing where a handheld tool is used to implant pigment under your skin to make hair-like strokes that look like natural hairs. Microblading is not as deep as a regular tattoo and needs refreshing every 9 months to a year for most people. Refreshing your brows, or “a color boost” will keep your brows the original color that was carefully selected to match your hair and skin tones.  Every person is different when it comes to how often a color boost is needed. It really depends on your body chemistry and lifestyle. Aside from the initial  procedure, we recommend a touch up to be sure you have the very best results.

A: Combo Brows are a beautiful blend of microblading and powder shading that creates an added polish and makeup look with hyper-realistic hair strokes. This is a beautiful option for clients who wish to achieve a “fluffy” look at the fronts of their brows, but need a bit more density through the body of the brow.

A: Powder brows is a technique designed to create eyebrows with a soft powder effect, very similar to powder makeup. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun.

A: Yes, it’s recommended that you come in about 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment for a touch up. In this session we will access your brows and correct any issues with color retention, symmetry, shape and balance.  Once you have this initial touch up it's recommended that you come in every 9-12 months for your annual retouch.

A: Yes, as over time, your eyebrows may have significantly faded or you might want a little boost, so it's the perfect time to come in and have them touched up.

A: We use a numbing cream to numb the area first. There should be little to no pain or discomfort during the service. Although there will be some tenderness when the topicals wear off.

A: There isn’t anything you need to do to get ready for microblading. You should not shave your eyebrows or do anything drastic. In fact, here is a list of all the things NOT to do:

• In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:
• Do not drink alcohol 24-48 hours before your procedure.
• Do not consume coffee before your procedure.
• Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood).
• Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before the procedure.
• Do not tan two weeks prior or have a sunburned face.
• Do not have any type of facial/peel 2 weeks prior to procedure.
• Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinol products one month prior to procedure.
• Do not work out the day of the procedure.
• Do not have botox 2 weeks prior.
• Do not take fish oil or vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners).
• Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days before the procedure.

A: We schedule a 2 hour block of time to complete the procedure.  This includes time for the consult where we discuss the color and shape of your brows, time for the area to numb, the procedure itself, and go over the aftercare instructions.

A: Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive, affordable, and 100% effective hair loss solution. We replicate tiny hair follicles to give the look of a buzz cut or short hair stubble.  The 1st session is used to lay the foundation of replicated hair follicles. After the first session, you will notice an immediate difference and a full look appearing. The 2nd and 3rd sessions are used to add additional layers of density to create the appearance of full, short hair, and eliminate any sign of hair loss. These are usually scheduled about 10-14 days apart.  We spend a lot of time blending into your existing hair for a seamless and natural look.

A: Male pattern baldness is often measured by the Norwood Scale, the most popular classification system for hair loss in men. When men start to lose their hair, they typically start to see a pattern over the course of many years. The Norwood Scale assesses the progression of hair loss on a scale of 1 to 7.  Once the classification stage is identified, a practitioner will be better able to choose an appropriate treatment option and measure its effectiveness. The Norwood Scale lays out a foundation on where to start treatment and how to see results.

A: At this time we only offer Microblading, Combination and Powder Brows, along with Scalp Micropigmentation.  In the future we plan on offering lip and eyeliner services.
